Wine culture has found an ideal place to express itself here.
Ideally and almost perfectly located at the intersection between the 45th parallel and the meridian of Greenwich, the “Marcel Romain” plot in homage to the former owner of the homonymous Vineyard is located in the heart of the village of Saint Julien, adjoining the Pauillac appellation. The climate is temperate benefiting from the micro climate brought by the river.

What gives soul to our wines is our terroir, with all its specificities. We have selected the perfect variety for these two plots of land, without forcing nature. Our objective is to be part of the synergy between vinification, the soil and the seasons without disturbing it.
THE perfect terroir
LOW RAINFALL
GRAVELO-CLAY SOIL
Low rainfall, combined with a draining gravelly-clayey soil, allows Cabernet Sauvignon to draw deeply, thanks to its deep roots in rich soils, the nutrients it needs, thus flourishing in a quite exceptional way.
MONOCEPAGE
In order to magnify and fully express the terroir, 2 plots are cultivated with a single grape variety, one of Cabernet Sauvignon (22 ares) and one of Syrah (20 ares).
Soil&WATER
Respect for the soil and water drainage are essential elements in order to create an exceptional product.
ECOSYSTEM
Following the concepts of agroforestry, 70 shrubs located around these plots stimulate this privileged environment.
SUSTAINABILITY
Responsible agriculture with the greatest respect for the environment.
